On Site Art is an artmaking program open to adults at no fee or registration.  Participants bring their own materials and work in a supportive environment. One condition is that since the program occurs in a public space, the artists/ participants must be open to the idea of being involved in a dialogue with the public from time to time.

The location of the original group is at the Vancouver Island Regional Library - North Nanaimo Branch. The program runs between January and April each year in the southwest corner of the building, where the light is the most advantageous.

The program has existed since 2014. On Site Art 2018 is on Tuesdays 1- 4 pm.   Beginning on January 16 - April 3. The host of the program is Diane Rae.

Since 2015, the library has allowed the partcipating group to have an exhibition in one of the main areas of the library.
